FOUR

On Friday, Jasper turned four. FOUR! It's crazy what happens to a little human in four years. From tiny helpless baby to a boy who has his own opinions (on everything). As I tell him every night before he falls asleep, I feel so incredibly lucky to be his mom.

Likes: Superheroes, animals, arguing about everything (a future as a lawyer, perhaps??), babies (especially HIS baby), tying intricate knots, building forts

Dislikes:letting mom pick out his clothes, esp if it happens to be a tank top (fine on other people, but for himself, I got this answer:"I have a rule Mom, and its NO TANK TOPS EVER!"), ranch dressing and ketchup, haircuts

Friday also marked 8 months for Truman. 

Likes: playing peek a boo, cuddling, pretty much everything and everyone. Dude is sort of ridiculously happy all the time. 

Dislikes: sleeping (he's a fan of the 15 minute cat nap during the day), not being held. As long as he is in someone's arms- SUPER happy, but try and put him down lately and you get terrified shrieks.  Read this. Sums it up way more eloquently than I could. 

  

The other big news is that if everything goes through, we will be living on 2.5 acres in Wimberley in TWO WEEKS. The last three weeks have been an absolute blur, but now that we have our house sold (two days on the market!) and Jasper's birthday party (hedgehog petting zoo!) behind us, all we have to do in the next couple of weeks is organize the move. No Big Deal. Right? So excited for our little house in the woods.

 

And finally, the other creature in our house that's growing leaps and bounds every day:
