So, I'm gonna try to get back to this thing. I feel better and more connected to my people in the North (HEY, my people in the North!) when I keep this semi updated. Since the last post we visited New York/New Jersey for Thanksgiving, celebrated Truman's SECOND birthday, had a quiet but lovely Christmas, and took an epic road trip (four THOUSAND miles in a month)and spent a magical month in the San Francisco area. The month and a half since we've been back has been a little stressful (freezing temps, lots of rain, NO HEAT IN OUR HOUSE, did I mention lots of rain? If nothing else, the last month has taught us that we would not do well in the Pacific Northwest. We need sun or things get ugly) but we've also had some pretty sweet moments (added a new dog to our crew, seeing long lost friends, our first date night in FOREVER, celebrating our favorite girls' second birthday). The last week and a half have been especially heartbreaking as our beloved and feisty Granny has taken a very sudden and sharp turn for the worse. Please send your prayers/good juju/positive thoughts to her and to Nikki especially.
Here are a few pictures from the last THREE months. Dang.
That is our new girl Wendy, there on the right. She is a purebred pit weenie that Curtis almost hit with his car the day after we got home from California, which makes her the second dog we have acquired that way. We love her and so does Bodhi.
