Be advised: giving your child the chicken pox vaccine is not a guarantee that they will not get chicken pox. We rang in the fourth with a nasty case, and so this week has been spent housebound. Jasper is usually a pretty tough little nut, so when he complains that something hurts, you know it HURTS, and let me tell you- our complaint department has been inundated. Aside from being covered in painful sores, the other major symptom has been insomnia. Needless to say, we're runnin' on fumes here, folks.

This afternoon we kept ourselves busy painting pictures, and Jasper painted this one for his dad:

That's the update 'round these parts. Here's hoping tonight involves less screaming than the last three nights have (I just caved and ran to Whole Foods and picked up some of this. Does it work? I'll let you know. Fingers firmly crossed).
