The last week and a half have been a doozy... Curtis had surgery on his eyes called PRK, related to LASIK, but with a MUCH more painful recovery. The doctor told us after it was said and done, "Now, you're really gonna hate me for the next four or five days." And the man did not lie. It was ROUGH. Curtis paced around the house like a blind angry grizzly bear for days. It was hard to watch. Just when his eyes were starting to feel better, he got a gnarly stomach bug. We did manage to have a good weekend and got some serious nesting done, went to the new farmer's market in our neighborhood, and hit up a pumpkin patch with the Elboms.

AND then... yesterday I got said gnarly stomach bug. Thankfully it was mostly a 24 hour thing, but yesterday was one of the worst in memory. Flu symptoms at 35 weeks pregnant? So not fun. Spent most of today sleeping and recovering. Feeling super grateful after all of this for Nikki and our good friends Billie, Dottie, and Chrissy for being SANITY savers and helping out with the boy throughout this whole thing. AND HUGE thanks to Curtis for taking such good care of me the last couple of days. Now back to our regular programming.
